Planning permission was secured for a replacement dwelling on this lovely site in Olney in 2019, with building work starting in 2020 and completion in 2021.

The new home is primarily two storeys in height. The design includes a central core, with secondary elements that are designed to appear as subservient extensions. The mass of the principal central part of the building has been carefully designed to minimise any apparent bulk. In particular, it includes a central gabled feature, and the roofline incorporates hipped gable ends. The southern part of the house appears as a two-storey side extension and again has a hipped roof, while the rear of the house incorporates an L-shaped, single storey element.

It is generally a traditional form and appearance but incorporates contemporary detail. In particular, the front entrance includes double height glazing. It is finished in render with a brick plinth and stone detailing. The front gable and chimney are constructed in brick and the rear single storey element is detailed in vertical timber cladding, reinforcing its subservience to the main building.

The house incorporates a reception room together with a study and boot room at ground floor level, together with an open plan kitchen, dining room and living room. At first floor level, the home includes four bedrooms, including an ensuite master bedroom and ensuite guest room.

Vehicular access is provided for three cars.
