Contemporary Home in Woodland Setting

Posted on 30/03/2017

A detailed planning application has been submitted to Central Bedfordshire Council for a six bedroom replacement dwelling in Aspley Heath.

The contemporary scheme has been carefully considered to respond to its sensitive context and to provide an efficient site layout.  The front of the property has been designed to maintain privacy, whilst the rear features large glazed openings to create a strong dialogue between internal and garden space.  At first floor, the vertical orientation of the timber cladding references the beautiful woodland setting.  Energy efficiency and the conservation of resources have been key elements in the design rationale.
